Belmont were out to avenge their 14-27 defeat to Woburn Memorial from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Belmont found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-28 punch to the gut against Woburn Memorial on Friday. The loss was a vexing one since Belmont were expected to win based on their state ranking. The game brought Woburn Memorial to 1-2 and dropped Belmont to a mirror-image 2-1.
Belmont will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Reading Memorial. As for Woburn Memorial, they will face off against Arlington. Arlington took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Woburn Memorial's good fortune.
