Cushing Academy are packing up and hiking across state lines for their match on Saturday. They will take on St. Paul's at 2:30 PM. Cushing Academy aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the squad has another upset up their sleeve.
Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Cushing Academy, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They were the clear victor by a 34-8 margin over Hebron Academy. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Cushing Academy as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, St. Paul's might be getting used to good results now that the team has four wins in a row. They blew past New Hampton School 49-21. St. Paul's were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped St. Paul's to 4-0 and Cushing Academy to 1-3. With both St. Paul's and Cushing Academy swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
