The biggest upset of the week belonged to Sultan, who defeated 93rd ranked South Whidbey, 40-28.
Lakewood added to the longest winning streak in 1A/2A Cascade this week by beating Granite Falls, 42-21. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Koa Wilkins threw for 185 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Ryan Fransen was the best wideout in the league this week as King's bested Coupeville. Fransen racked up 5 receptions for 73 yards. Karl Sather helped King's' passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 33 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Wilkins and Chris Yand, the Knights have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Wilkins is tops in the league in passing with 1,100 yards, while Yand has rushed for 667 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Archbishop Murphy's Conner Longoria, with 444 yards on 36 catches.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Lakewood takes on second place King's. Last week, Lakewood defeated the Tigers, while King's topped the Wolves.
One of 1A/2A Cascade's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Jim Shapiro's team and Dan Teeter's team face off next week.
Next week's game between the Knights and the Cougars will feature an aerial matchup as Wilkins tests his arm against Brett Bustad's defensive ability.
