Nocona is 1-6 against Muenster since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Hornets at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Nocona will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run last Monday, then bounced right back against Era on Monday. The Indians never let the Hornets get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won five in a row.

Reagan Phipps was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Phipps was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Heidi Atteberry was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Evelyn Marquez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Nocona always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Era only posted an OBP of .188.
Meanwhile, Muenster entered their tilt with Alvord on Monday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 11-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by exactly ten runs.
Skyler Reed spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Muenster got a big performance out of Brynlee Berend, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lilly Johnson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-5.
Muenster's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-7-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Nocona, their record is now 13-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Nocona has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Muenster struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Nocona suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Muenster in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
