The Berrien Rebels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 15th straight loss. They were dealt a 66-33 loss at the hands of Worth County. While losing is never fun, Berrien can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 554th, while Worth County is ranked 235th).
Worth County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was James Raymond out in front who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was GRANT JUSTER, who scored 13 points.
Berrien bumped their record down to 1-17 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Worth County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berrien will face off against Jeff Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Worth County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Atkinson County at 5:30 p.m. on January 20th. Atkinson County is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
