The Caldwell Parish Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 74-67 win over Winnfield. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaylon Jackson, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. The game was Jackson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Decavian Duncan was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Caldwell Parish is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Winnfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
