The Wellpinit Redskins can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Mary Walker with a sharp 79-58 win. The win was nothing new for Wellpinit as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Mary Walker's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Teko Cates, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Cates has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Lawrence, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Wellpinit is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. As for Mary Walker, they dropped their record down to 11-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wellpinit will take on the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
