Mariem Mezni was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kaylee McGrath, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Chaminade Julienne Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Badin, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Chaminade Julienne Catholic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Badin has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Chaminade Julienne Catholic, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Badin's sizable advantage in that area, the Eagles will need to find a way to close that gap.
