Everything went the Wildcats' way against Lowcountry Leadership on Friday as they made off with a 16-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.
Grayson K tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nick Moss was incredible, firing off three home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Hayden Phares also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Coastal HomeSchool, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against St. Andrew's by a score of 9-4 on Thursday.
Burke Sullivan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Coastal HomeSchool is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-11 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jace Poppell, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Coastal HomeSchool is undefeated when Poppell posts three or more RBI, but 6-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was J.W. Castongia, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' record now sits at 10-8. As for Coastal HomeSchool, their record is now 12-13.
Coastal HomeSchool's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. It's a different story for Coastal HomeSchool, though, as they've only averaged .254. Will they be able to contain Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' hitters?
