When it comes to explaining why Florence lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gunnar Phillips. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Gage Goodall, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Leading Banning Lewis Academy to victory were Joseph Bjegovich and Kobe Welch. Bjegovich scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, while Welch scored 20 points. That's the first time this season that Welch scored 15 or more points. Jordan Jones was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
