Central Catholic hasn't had much luck against North Allegheny recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Vikings will host the Tigers at 3:45 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
If Central Catholic beats North Allegheny with 11 runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Vikings never let North Hills get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Friday. Considering the Vikings have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Josh McFadden was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Central Catholic is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-4 otherwise. McFadden was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other pitching news, Ryder Jackson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, Brady Wilson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two stolen bases. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Chase Gelpi was another key player, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
Central Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, North Allegheny played in-conference for the first time on Friday and got just the result they were looking for. Everything went their way against Butler as they made off with an 8-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tigers have posted against the Golden Tornado since April 9, 2024.
The team relied heavily on Nate Fritz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Mancuso, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI.
Central Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for North Allegheny, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Both Central Catholic and North Allegheny just can't seem to miss. The Vikings have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. However, it's not like North Allegheny struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
