East Allegheny is 0-10 against South Allegheny since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The East Allegheny Wild Cats will look to defend their home court against the South Allegheny Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. East Allegheny has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 27.
East Allegheny pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 81-55 walloping at the hands of West Mifflin.
Meanwhile, South Allegheny made easy work of Quaker Valley on Tuesday and carried off a 61-39 win. Given South Allegheny's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Quaker Valley is ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
East Allegheny's loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-15. As for South Allegheny, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
