It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Fayette Academy Vikings can now relate to. They were outmatched by Friendship Christian on the road and fell 42-14. Fayette Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.
Fayette Academy's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Wyatt Morris and J brady Orr. Morris rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown, while Orr picked up 18 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Tyson Wolcott was his usual excellent self, rushing for 131 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. Wolcott is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Channing Anthony, who rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown.
Fayette Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Friendship Christian, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Fayette Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Friendship Christian will play host again and welcome Donelson Christian Academy, where kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Donelson Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
