The South Lyon East Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 72-39 win over Kettering. That 72-39 margin sets a new team best for South Lyon East this season.
Loss or not, Kettering got some senior leadership from Diego Rocha who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and Kevin Meredith who scored 15 points. The contest was Meredith's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Kettering struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
The win makes it two in a row for South Lyon East and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Kettering, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-3.
South Lyon East will face off against Walled Lake Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kettering will be home for the holidays to greet Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
