In what's become a running theme this season, St. Charles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They breezed by Douglass at home to the tune of 79-31. St. Charles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
McKenzie Thomas continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. She hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Nayja Richardson, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
The win (which was St. Charles' third in a row) raised their record to 12-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.33 points. As for Douglass, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Charles will take on Leonardtown at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Leonardtown is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. As for Douglass, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Fairmont Heights at 6:30 p.m. Fairmont Heights is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
