After two games on the road, Norris is heading back home. They will take on The Pius X Thunderbolts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Norris humbled Crete with a 49-7 victory. The result was nothing new for Norris, who have now won four matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Blake Macklin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 192 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also catching a touchdown. Macklin's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarrett Behrends, who threw for 140 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Pius X's six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. Everything went their way against Beatrice as Pius X made off with a 28-3 victory.
Pius X's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Dario Occansey, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown, and Joseph Andreasen, who rushed for 105 yards and three touchdowns.
Norris is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Pius X, their win on Friday bumped their record up to 2-6.
