The Richfield Spartans had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past Patrick Henry with  points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game  65-50. That's another feather in the cap for Richfield, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Richfield can attribute much of their success to  Desirai Chappell, who  scored 21 points.  Taylor Nickell was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points.
 Richfield's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Patrick Henry, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richfield will take on Simley at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Patrick Henry will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roosevelt at 7:00  p.m.  on December 12th.
