After losing to Clear Falls the last time they met, Clear Lake decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Clear Lake Falcons narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Clear Falls Knights 50-47. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons who have now won four matches in a row.

Clear Lake's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Perkins, who went 7 of 13 en route to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Julien Barclay, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards.

Clear Lake's victory bumped their record up to 22-12. As for Clear Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 21-12.

Clear Lake and Clear Falls should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Clear Lake will challenge Brazoswood at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday up 540 places (232 vs. 772). Clear Lake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Clear Falls (ranked 178th) will meet Deer Park (ranked 534th) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
