Pratt has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lyons recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Fighting Frogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. Pratt will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Pratt is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Hoisington 12-2 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Fighting Frogs have won by exactly ten runs.
Cresten Pore made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Pore was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Josiah Schmidt was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Caleb Strong, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Pratt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hoisington only posted an OBP of .227.
Meanwhile, Lyons might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Sacred Heart who claimed the real prize. The Lions lost 14-4 to the Knights. The Lions have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Pratt's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Lyons, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Everything went Pratt's way against Lyons in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Pratt made off with a 15-1 win. Will the Fighting Frogs repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
