Bloomingdale found their leader in sophomore Alexa (Lexi) Serniotti, who threw for 101 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of her passes, and also rushed for 93 yards on only seven carries. Aydan Walker was in the mix as well, providing the Bulls with two scores.
Bloomingdale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Serniotti, Walker, and Danica Darby picked up one apiece.
The victory made it two in a row for Bloomingdale and bumps their season record up to 11-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 12 points in those games. As for Newsome, they moved to 11-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
Looking ahead, Bloomingdale will face off against Lennard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Longhorns will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bulls surely won't give up without a fight. Newsome does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
