Faith Christian had to suffer through a rough 75-39 loss at the hands of Jacksonville. Faith Christian has struggled against Jacksonville recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Devin Barksdale was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with 3 steals for Jacksonville. The match was Barksdale's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aaron Nixon, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Faith Christian's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-7. As for Jacksonville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Christian will take on Alabama School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alabama School for the Deaf is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Jacksonville, they will head out on the road to face off against Gadsden City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
