Tamalpais Gets a Boost from Edwards in 38-25 Defeat
Starting off the list is Tamalpais's Reed Edwards, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Edwards threw for 345 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per attempt.
Tamalpais' loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. Edwards and Tamalpais will challenge Redwood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Saturday Danny Mercado stepped things up a notch to give Casa Grande the 'W'. Redwood had no answer to Mercado as he threw for 226 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown.
If history really does repeat itself, Mercado might just drop another big game when he faces off against Justin-Siena on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Mercado saw the Braves), he threw for 182 yards and five touchdowns on only 17 passes.

Andre Lopez Has Career-Day on Friday
Andre Lopez posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 215 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.
The victory for American Canyon keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Lopez and American Canyon are taking a road trip to take on Justin-Siena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Timo Ural Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Friday, Tamalpais had to settle for second even though Timo Ural put up the best numbers he has all season. Ural picked up 219 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (105.3). He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 84 yards.

American Canyon Wins Fifth-Straight Thanks to Mason Harris
Mason Harris was instrumental in extending American Canyon's winning streak to five on Friday. Harris was dynamite, rushing for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 71 yards and a touchdown.
