River View will challenge Goldendale on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. River View are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
River View have had to suffer through a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Wahluke by a score of 15-7 last Friday. River View's success was spearheaded by the efforts of senior Rylan Naughton, who caught passes for 125 yards and 1 touchdown, and sophomore Tre Sakota, who passed for 172 yards and 1 touchdown. Sakota has now scored at least one touchdown in the past three games.
Meanwhile, after flying high against Cle Elum-Roslyn two weeks ago, Goldendale came back down to earth. Goldendale suffered a grim 18-41 defeat to Naches Valley. Goldendale were down by 12-41 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
River View's win lifted them to 2-4 while Goldendale's defeat dropped them down to 2-4. Goldendale's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a River View defensive front that amassed six sacks against Wahluke, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
