It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but American History ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged Bard Early College out 37-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory American History has posted yet this season.
American History found their leader in underclassman Shamiyah Mubarak, who scored 19 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Mubarak scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Neveah Stanley, who scored five points along with 13 rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Dickinson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They lost to Snyder at home by a decisive 55-39 margin.
American History has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Dickinson, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-9.
American History didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Dickinson in their previous meeting on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 43-37 victory.
