Cape Fear Academy has struggled against Greenfield recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Cape Fear Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Angelo Vega, who scored 17 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Gibson, who scored 14 points.
Cape Fear Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7. As for Greenfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season.
