The biggest upset of the week belonged to Santa Fe Catholic, who took down 495th ranked Mount Dora Bible, 9-6.
Lake Mary Prep extended the longest winning streak in 2A District 4 this week by beating Victory Christian Academy, 20-8. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Griffins.
Foundation Academy's dynamic duo of Alec Thompson and Darshaun Ford proved tough for Agape Christian Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Thompson threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns and Ford had 79 yards receiving. Kevett Mickle helped Foundation Academy's passing attack out by catching three balls for 52 yards.
Jeremiah Sams was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 25 carries, he ran for 188 yards as Lake Mary Prep bested the Saints. Ray Lewis lll also contributed to the rushing game with 105 yards on the ground.
5-foot-11 quarterback Thompson of Foundation Academy is the league leader in passing yards this season with 870. He has also thrown seven touchdowns. On the ground, Buck Gurley's team's Sams has rushed for 1454 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Lewis lll. The Lake Mary Prep star has 11 catches for 315 yards.
A big matchup in 2A District 4 this week will be when Agape Christian Academy takes on the Hawks. Victor Floyd's team is currently in fifth, while Santa Fe Catholic is in sixth.
Brad Lord's team moved up to 328 from 361 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Lions climbed the ranks as a result of a 29-22 win over the Saints.
