Somonauk is on a five-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Parkview Christian Academy a 14-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Somonauk Bobcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Parkview Christian Academy Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Somonauk will be strutting in after a victory while Parkview Christian Academy will be coming in after a loss.
Somonauk has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 69-49 margin over LaMoille. The victory was just what Somonauk needed coming off of a 70-38 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Parkview Christian Academy came up short against Mooseheart on Friday and fell 66-53.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Kashton Wilson, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Christian Mulder was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven assists.
Somonauk is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Parkview Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
