Johnson Creek posted their closest victory since April 12, 2024 on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Marshall Cardinals, sneaking past 4-2. For the Bluejays, this counts as revenge for the 9-8 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2019.

Johnson Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Marshall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnson Creek will head out to challenge New Glarus at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Glarner Knights have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Marshall, they will challenge Wisconsin Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
