Bonanza has gone 6-1 against Doral Academy Red Rock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bengals will head out on the road to take on the Dragons at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Bonanza's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Matthew Oh, who had 23 assists and ten digs, and Massimo Pesci, who had 20 digs and two aces. Pesci has been hot, having also posted 12 or more assists the last five times he's played. Michael Wienand also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.
Meanwhile, Doral Academy Red Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Southeast Career Tech. While the Dragons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Roadrunners 25-19 in the first set.
Doral Academy Red Rock couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Southeast Career Tech a tough time in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 17-25, 25-16, 33-31, 15-10.
Bonanza's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
Bonanza was able to grind out a solid victory over Doral Academy Red Rock in their previous meeting on April 2nd, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bengals since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
