Santa Ana was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Estancia apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Santa Ana's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jack Rivera, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Jayden Carter who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 42.3% of Santa Ana's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Rivera, who scored five points along with eight rebounds.
Santa Ana's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Estancia, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santa Ana will take on St. Margaret's at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Estancia, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Calvary Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Calvary Chapel is ranked 435th, while Estancia is ranked 410th).
