Lansdowne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Western Tech & Environmental Science Wolverines. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Derek Ervin and Tyler Umstead did some serious damage despite the final result: Ervin went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Umstead went 2-for-5 with two runs and one double.

Lansdowne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lansdowne will square off against Pikesville on Saturday. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they will head out to take on Catonsville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
