The Bladensburg Mustangs pushed their score all the way to 67 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Huntingtown by a score of 69-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (65), Bladensburg still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Brady Swann, who scored 14 points along with three steals for Huntingtown. The contest was Swann's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Roger Jones jr., who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Bladensburg bumped their record down to 3-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Huntingtown, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bladensburg won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. Northwestern and Bladensburg are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Huntingtown, they will head out on the road to face off against Chopticon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
