The Alabama Christian Academy Eagles will face off against the Handley Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Alabama Christian Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against LAMP as Alabama Christian Academy made off with an 11-0 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.
Izzy Warrick made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, two stolen bases, and two runs. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Campbell Hammett, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Maddie Owens was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Alabama Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as LAMP only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Handley). They were the clear victor by a 10-2 margin over Beulah on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
Brayden Watkins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 6.3 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Brynnley Lane was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Rayna Smith, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Alabama Christian Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs over those games. As for Handley, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
