The Ashley Screaming Eagle scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 58-36 margin over South Brunswick. The victory was some much needed relief for Ashley as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ashley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nate Jarrell, who scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Coen Locklear, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
South Brunswick lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaelon Johnson, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Braxton, who scored ten points.
Ashley's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for South Brunswick, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Ashley will be home for the holidays to greet Laney at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Laney is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for South Brunswick, they will head out on the road to face off against New Hanover at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. New Hanover is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 68 points per game.
