It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Albany Lions had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 56-0 victory over Celeste. The win was just business as usual for Albany, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Adam Hill, who rushed for 165 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also caught a touchdown. Hill was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards. Another player making a difference was Branson Beal, who rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Albany's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Celeste, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Albany will square off against Muenster at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Muenster is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Celeste does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
