The Fort Wayne Snider Panthers will head out to face off against the Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. While Fort Wayne Snider didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by ten runs or more this season.

Back at the plate, Fort Wayne Snider got a massive performance out of Isaiah Snavely, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, two triples, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Snavely a new career-high. Jack Mohrman was another key player, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and three runs.
Fort Wayne Snider always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Wayne Canterbury only posted an OBP of .423.
Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers didn't have quite enough to beat Heritage on Wednesday and fell 7-6.
Fort Wayne Bishop Luers also got a good showing from Tom Hogg, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Hogg has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Milo Diehm, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI. Another was Ben Kiracofe, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Fort Wayne Snider's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.2 runs over those games. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Fort Wayne Snider has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .539. However, it's not like Fort Wayne Bishop Luers struggles in that department as they've averaged .441. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fort Wayne Snider beat Fort Wayne Bishop Luers 5-1 when the teams last played on Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
