The Wharton Tigers have not won a game since January 22nd, a trend which continued on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 8-1 loss at the hands of Bay City. Wharton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-1.
Their goal came courtesy of
Alejandro Carrillo, who's now up to two this season.
Wharton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-2. As for Bay City, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wharton will face off against Columbus at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbus' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. Bay City is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Palacios at 7:15 p.m. on February 13th. Palacios' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 11 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
