The Colony Knights will head out to take on the Wasilla Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Colony's victory against Palmer wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Moose on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since April 9, 2025.

Clay Wood
Clay Wood looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Colony is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-3-1 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hayden Sherman, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wasilla, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past West Valley 10-1 on Saturday. Considering the Warriors have won three matchups by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
LaLo PaLomares made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Palomares was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Bridger Berta was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Camden Mette was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four RBI and one double.
Colony's record is now 2-4-1. As for Wasilla, their record now sits at 4-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Colony has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wasilla struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Colony was able to grind out a solid win over Wasilla in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, winning 5-2. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
