The Kingston Cardinals lost against the Dryden Cardinals back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Kingston took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dryden. Kingston has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kingston lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Austin Deroseau, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Deroseau hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. Owen Corlis was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds.
Kingston's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Dryden, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.
Kingston will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mayville at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Kingston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for Dryden, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Lakeville: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Dryden has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
