 Junie Mitchell was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Mia Bradley, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
 Mitchell wasn't the only one making solid contact: Polk County  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least ten  hits in three consecutive  matchups.
 Brevard not only won  on Friday, but they posted their biggest win  since March 18th. They blew past Smoky Mountain 17-11.
 Polk County's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-5. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Brevard, their record now sits at 12-3.
