Centerpoint is 9-0 against Bismarck since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Centerpoint Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Bismarck Lions at 7:00 p.m. Centerpoint is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Centerpoint was beaten by Glen Rose 56-12. Centerpoint was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Although Centerpoint took the loss, they still got scores from Drew Diggs and Nathan Rogers.
Meanwhile, Bismarck can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Two Rivers 53-8 on the road. The win was nothing new for Bismarck as they're now sitting on three straight.
Glen Rose's victory bumped their season record to 7-2 while Centerpoint's defeat dropped theirs to 5-4.
Centerpoint came out on top in a nail-biter against Bismarck when the teams last played back in November of 2022, sneaking past 22-19. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Bismarck's Ian Smith, who threw for 268 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Centerpoint to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
