Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Kingwood beat Strake Jesuit 56-51.
Meanwhile, King got the win against Ball on Friday by a conclusive 69-48. Given King's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while Ball is ranked 169th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kingwood is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for King, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
Kingwood came up short against King in their previous matchup back in January, falling 37-28. Can Kingwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
