The Minto Lakers can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. Everything went their way against Bristol Bay as Minto made off with a 72-47 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Minto has posted yet this season.
Minto was led to victory by Marsten Capelle and Andrew David. Capelle scored 23 points, while David scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points David has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeff Frank, who scored ten points.
The win makes it two in a row for Minto and bumps their season record up to 11-1. As for Bristol Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minto won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Tri-Valley on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alaska (Tri-Valley is ranked 27th, while Minto is ranked 16th). As for Bristol Bay, they will head out on the road to square off against Dillingham at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
