Shipley kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 74-47 defeat at the hands of Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Shipley in their matchups with Springside Chestnut Hill Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Shipley had strong showings from Matt Lange, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals, and Will Littles, Jr, who scored 14 points.
Shipley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Shipley will head out on the road to face off against Lawrenceville School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Sankofa Freedom Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st.
