Sunset is 10-0 against the Warriors since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Sunset Apollos will look to defend their home court against the Aloha Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Sunset came up short against the Skyhawks and fell 54-45. While losing is never fun, Sunset can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Skyhawks are ranked 13th).
Defeat or not, Sunset got some senior leadership from Gabby Ramm and Hannah Leffler. Ramm scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, while Leffler. scored 17 points. Ruby Foord was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 56 points the game before, Aloha were a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Southridge, falling 69-17.
This is the second loss in a row for Sunset and nudges their season record down to 10-8. As for Aloha, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Sunset against the Warriors when the teams last played two weeks ago as the team secured a 70-27 victory. With Sunset ahead 45-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.
