Softball Game Preview: Millard Eagles vs. Enterprise Wolves

Millard hasn't had much luck against Enterprise recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Millard Eagles will host the Enterprise Wolves at 3:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Millard is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Panguitch 15-5 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won eight in a row.

Jansie Chlarson and Savannah Turner did most of the damage at the plate: Chlarson went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Turner got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Chlarson a new career-high. Brooklin Reid was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Enterprise, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Millard on Tuesday as Enterprise made off with a 10-1 win. That looming 10-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wolves yet this season.

Enterprise pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Millard, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
