Volleyball Recap: Centennial Wins High-Profile Match Against Capital + How To Watch

Centennial faced Capital in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Patriots put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Patriots this season.

Centennial not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Capital between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-17.

Leading Centennial to victory were Isabelle Guinn and Sophia Guinn. Isabelle had ten digs and three aces, while Sophia had six digs and five aces. That's the most aces Sophia has posted over her last seven matches. Hannah Bock also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Centennial was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Capital only served four aces.

Centennial pushed their record up to 4-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Capital, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record.
