The Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 57-43 bruising from Dillard. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pompano Beach of the 84-59 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2015.
Despite the loss, Pompano Beach still got an impressive performance from Jonathan Berwig, who scored 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Berwig hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Watson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Pompano Beach has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Dillard, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-8.
Pompano Beach will take on the Raiders at TBD on Tuesday. Glades Central is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Dillard, they will square off against the Flying L's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Lauderdale is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
