The York Suburban Trojans will face off against the Kennard-Dale Rams at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. York Suburban has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 17.
On Thursday, York Suburban came up short against Eastern York and fell 7-3.
Sara Lim made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Kennard-Dale came out on top against Middletown on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. The Rams blew past the Blue Raiders 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Taryn Ashenfelter made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Maddie Argiro was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilliana Fleming, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Kennard-Dale pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for York Suburban, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
York Suburban might still be hurting after the 14-0 loss they got from Kennard-Dale in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Trojans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
