After a string of four wins, the Poston Butte Broncos's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were beaten by Eastmark 58-20. Poston Butte found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post 14 fewer assists than your opponent.
Poston Butte's loss came despite strong showings from Kyla Boyd and Julia Harris. Boyd scored five points along with five steals, while Harris scored four points. Boyd is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played.
Eastmark was led to victory by Anna LaFountain and Isabella Jackson. LaFountain scored 14 points, while Jackson scored 15 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Farnstrom, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Poston Butte's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-9. As for Eastmark, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-4.
Poston Butte does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eastmark also has no future games currently scheduled.
